Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Departure
Our journey begins as we depart the USA.
Day 2 Lisbon, Fatima
Upon arrival in Lisbon, we will meet our tour guide. After a panoramic tour and a break for lunch, we will visit the Church of St. Anthony’s Church. Celebrate Mass. Continue to Fatima for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Santarem and Fatima
We will spend the morning in Fatima. We will visit the Chapel of the Apparitions, the Basilica, and the tombs of Francisco, Jacinta, and Sr. Lucia. We will also visit the Monument to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In Aljustrel and Valinhos, we will see the two homes of the little shepherds and the site of the first and third visit of the “Angel of Peace.” We will stop at the parish church and the cemetery where Francisco and Jacinta were once buried. Celebrate Mass. After lunch, we will drive to Santarem to visit the Church of the Eucharistic Miracle. Return to Fatima. After dinner, we will join the nightly candlelight procession.
Day 4 Fatima, Santiago de Compostela
In the early morning, we will check out and depart to Santiago de Compostela, where, upon arrival, we will visit the Cathedral of St. James. Visit the crypt where the Patron Saint of Pilgrims’ relics are kept. Celebrate Mass. The afternoon is at our leisure. Check-in at our hotel, dinner, and overnight.
Day 5 Santiago – Oviedo, San Sebastian
After breakfast, we will head to Oviedo. Here, we will visit the Cathedral, which houses the tombs of Asturian kings, and the Camara Santa. Celebrate Mass. After lunch, we will continue to Santander, where we will have dinner and stay the night.
Day 6 San Sebastian, Loila, Lourdes
Today, we will continue to Lourdes. En route, stop in Loyola to visit the birthplace f St. Ignatius and the Shrine. Celebrate Mass. We will have dinner in Lourdes and participate in the nightly rosary and candlelight procession. Overnight in Lourdes.
Day 7 Lourdes
Today, we will spend the day in Lourdes. We will visit the historical and spiritual sites associated with the visionary child, Bernadette. We begin at the Grotto of the Apparitions and then, continue on a guided walking tour visiting the Basilica of St. Pius X, Boly Mill, the Soubirous family home, the Basilica of the Rosary, the miraculous spring, and the healing baths. Celebrate Mass. After dinner, we will join in the nightly rosary and candlelight procession.
Day 8 Lourdes, Montserrat, Barcelona
Today, we will drive towards Barcelona. En route, stop in Montserrat to visit the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat and celebrate Mass. Arrive in Barcelona, check-in at the hotel, have dinner, and overnight.
Day 9 Barcelona, Roma
After breakfast, we will enjoy a guided tour of Barcelona and visit the Sagrada Familia (inside), Passeig de Gracia, Plaza Catalunya, Montjuic, and Barrio Gotico with Barcelona’s Cathedral. Here, we celebrate Mass. We will depart Barcelona on our direct flight to Rome this afternoon, where we will have dinner and stay the night.
Day 10 Roma, Vatican Museums, Basilicas
After breakfast, we will enjoy a full-day guided tour of Christian Rome. We start with the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel. Then, we will visit the Basilica of St. Peter and have time at leisure for shopping. The Holy Father will bless all the religious items we bring to the Papal Audience. Following lunch, our tour continues at the Holy Stairs and the Basilica of St. John the Lateran; this shrine contains a relic from the manger of the infant Jesus. Here, we will celebrate Mass, where we will have dinner and stay the night.
Day 11 Rome, Papal Audience
Early this morning, we will transfer to St. Peter’s Square, where the Holy Father will bless us. Following the Papal Audience, we will have time to shop for religious goods. Break for lunch before embarking on a walking tour to see the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Dinner is on our own tonight. Overnight in Rome.
Day 12 Roma, Orvieto, Assisi
Today, we will drive to Assisi via Orvieto, where we will visit the gothic Duomo, built to house the holy relics of the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena. We will enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we proceed to Assisi, where we will stop to visit the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, containing the famous Porziuncola, have dinner and spend the night.”.
Day 13 Assisi
After breakfast, we will meet our local guide for a walking tour through the medieval village of Assisi. The sightseeing tour includes visits to the Church of St. Clare, which houses her incorrupt body. One of the chapels contains the crucifix that bowed its head and ordered St. Francis to “repair God’s Church.” Afterward, we will tour the Basilica of St. Francis, built in 1228 to house the Saint’s Relics. The “upper “ basilica houses beautiful frescoes of Giotto, which describe the life of St. Francis and his community. Mass will be celebrated here at the Basilica of St. Francis. After a break for lunch, we will enjoy an afternoon of leisure for personal activities.
Day 14 Assisi, Cascia, Castel Gandolfo
After breakfast, we will check out and drive back towards Rome. We will stop in Cascia to celebrate Mass and visit the Monastery and the Shrine of St. Rita, one of the most famous Italian saints. She was a married woman, a mother, a widow, a nun, a stigmatist, and later, a mystic. The Basilica of St. Rita contains her incorrupt body, several relics from her life, and a Eucharistic miracle before her time. Following lunch, we continue to the hilled village of Frascati, south of Rome, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 15 Return to the USA
