Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Departure
Day 2 Welcome To France, Paris, Lisieux
After we arrive at the airport, we will continue to Lisieux, where we will spend the next three nights. Lisieux is the home of St. Therese the Little Flower. Celebrate Mass at the Carmel Convent. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux.
Day 3 Lisieux, Mont-Saint-Michel
After breakfast, we will visit Les Buissonnets, the childhood home of the Saint, the magnificent Basilica of St. Therese, and the Crypt. Then, we will drive out of town through the beautiful French countryside towards Mont-Saint-Michel. For more than a thousand years, the distant silhouette of this island abbey has sent pilgrims’ spirits soaring. Today, it does the same for us. Mont-Saint-Michel, one of the top pilgrimage sites of Christendom through the ages, floats like a mirage on the horizon and is considered one of the wonders of the world. Behold the magnificent abbey and embark on an exploration of the island. Return to Lisieux for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Normandy Beaches
This morning, we will drive through beautiful Normandy scenery toward Omaha Beach, where we see the American Memorial and Cemetery. In the afternoon, we will travel to the charming coastal town of Honfleur with its skinny, soaring houses. Honfleur escaped the bombs of World War II, and, today, offers a romantic port enclosed on three sides by sprawling outdoor cafés. Return to Lisieux for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Chartres, Paris
Today, we will check out and depart Lisieux. We drive to the village of Chartres, where we will visit the magnificent Chartres Cathedral. We will arrive in Paris in the late afternoon and check into our hotel in the City of Lights. Overnight in Paris.
Day 6 Paris, Versailles
After breakfast, we will drive past the Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris’ most beloved church, with towers and gargoyles to the Montmartre section of Paris to explore the magnificent Sacre Coeur (Sacred Heart Basilica). This afternoon, our guided tour continues to Versailles to visit the palace and the magnificent gardens. Return to Paris for dinner and overnight in Paris.
Day 7 Paris
This morning, we will visit Rue de Bac to celebrate Mass at the Chapel of the Miraculous Medal. Our next visit is to Saint Chapelle, with its magnificent stained glass windows and sacred relics. The rest of the day is at leisure. Tonight’s Seine River cruise dinner will sail past some of the most beautiful and famous city sights, including the illuminated Eiffel Tower. Overnight in Paris.
Day 8 Paris, Lourdes
This morning, we will check out of the hotel and transfer to the train station, where we board the TGV bullet train which takes us to Lourdes. We will check into our hotel and celebrate Mass in Lourdes. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
Day 9 Lourdes
Today, we celebrate Mass at the grotto, where Our Lady appeared to Bernadette. Drink water from the miraculous spring that has healed many and visit the healing baths. Our group will have the opportunity to see Boly Mill, the birthplace of St. Bernadette, and the “Cachot,” an abandoned prison where Bernadette’s impoverished family lived., Pray the Stations of the Cross and attend the Blessing of the Sick in the afternoon. We will have a farewell dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Lourdes.
Day 10 Lourdes, Burgos
After breakfast, we depart Lourdes and travel through the spectacular Pyrenees Mountains. Then, we will reach Burgos in the afternoon. Check-in at our hotel. Then, we will visit the city’s historical Gothic cathedral with its superb architecture and its unique collection of works of art, including paintings, choir stalls, tombs, and stained-glass windows. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 11 Burgos, Salamanca, Fatima
We depart to Fatima. En route, we will stop in Salamanca and explore around the old cobblestone streets and quiet squares. Enjoy time at leisure in the magnificent Plaza Mayor. Celebrate Mass. Continue to Fatima, where we will spend the night. After dinner, you may choose to join the candlelight procession.
Day 12 Fatima
We tour The Basilica of Our Lady of Fatima. The Basilica contains the tombs of the two young shepherd children, Jacinta and Francisco, and the tomb of Sister Lucia. View the Crown of the Virgin, which is located in the Chapel of the Apparitions. Visit the Hamlet of Aljustrel and the homes of the children. Walk the Hungarian Stations of the Cross leading uphill to a marble monument of Christ on the Cross. After dinner, we can choose to join the candlelight procession. Dinner and overnight in Fatima in Lisbon.
Day 13 Fatima, Lisbon
After breakfast, we depart Fatima to Lisbon and enjoy a panoramic tour. See the Tower of Belen, Monastery of St. Jeronimos, and Monument to the Discoveries. Continue to the old town of Lisbon for leisure time and lunch on your own. Then, drive to the Church of San Antonio. Dinner and overnight.
Day 14 Return to the USA
