Daily Itinerary
Day 1 Departure
Our journey begins as we depart the USA.
Day 2 Krakow arrival
Arrive at Krakow. Our tour guide will greet us at the airport. Transfer to the hotel for check-in for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Kraków, £agiewniki, Wieliczka, Kraków
Start the day with a guided tour of Wieliczka and Europe’s oldest salt mines. The mines are a unique place where many generations of Polish miners have created a world of underworld chambers and decorated chapels carved out of salt, including the famous Chapel of St. Kinga. Drive to “Divine Mercy Shrine” to visit the shrine’s grounds and basilica. Celebrate Mass at the shrine. Lunch is on your own. Continue with a tour of Krakow, including visits to Wawel Hill Cathedral. Then, walk along Kanonicza Street, pausing at building #21, “Deanery,” where Pope John Paul II resided while living in Krakow. Then, to the Mariacki Church and the Market Square. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
Day 4 Kraków, Wadowice, Prague
Breakfast will be at the hotel, and then we will check out. Drive towards Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Make a stop in Wadowice to visit the local parish, church, and the birthplace of Pope John Paul II. Celebrate mass at a local church. Have some free time for independent lunch. Arrive in Prague and check in for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 Prague city tour
Today is a full day of sightseeing in Prague, focusing on Hradcany Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Castle, St. George’s Basilica, and the Church of Our Lady Victorious, where we see the Statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. Celebrate Mass in the Church of Our Lady Victoria (subject to confirmation). Lunch is on your own. Later, cross the Charles Bridge to visit the old town, the Market Square, Astronomical Clock, and Wenceslas Square. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 Prague, Vienna
Have breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Today, we depart Prague and drive towards Vienna, the “City of Waltz” and one of Europe’s loveliest cities. Have some free time for lunch. Our tour of Vienna takes us to the old town, walking through the university and Opera House, passing by many of Vienna’s landmarks such as the Hofburg Palace, Albertina, Donner Fountain, the Spanish Riding School, and St. Stephen Cathedral. Celebrate Mass at a local church. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 Vienna, Budapest, Szekesfehervar
After an early breakfast at the hotel, check out and head to Budapest. Celebrate Mass at a local church. Lunch is on your own. Enjoy a half-day guided sightseeing tour in Budapest. Our visits today include the Fisherman’s Bastion, which takes its name from the guild of fishermen who were responsible for defending this stretch of city walls in the Middle Ages. Next, visit Matyás Church, a gorgeous Romanesque-style church whose Ecclesiastical Art museum houses numerous sacred relics and medieval stone carvings, including replicas of the Hungarian royal crown and coronation jewels. Visit St. Stephan Basilica. Transfer to Szekesfehervar for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 Szekesfehervar, Marija Bistrica, Zagreb
Breakfast will be at the hotel before checking out. Depart for Zagreb. Lunch is on your own en route. Stop in Marija Bistrica near Zagreb to celebrate Mass and visit the famous sanctuary. Continue to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 9 Zagreb, Bled Lake
Depart Zagreb for a day trip to Slovenia and spend some free time over Bled Lake. With its emerald-green lake, picture-postcard church on an islet, a medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff, and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps, this place makes an unforgettable memory—board for a picturesque cruise on the lake. Lunch is on your own. Celebrate Mass at one of the local churches. Return to Zagreb for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes, Medjugorje
This morning, we continue to Medjugorje. En route, we will stop at Plitvice Lakes for a tour. Plitvice Lakes National Park is Croatia’s largest national park. In the afternoon, we continue to Medjugorje for dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 11 Medjugorje
During our stay in Medjugorje, we will meet and share our faith with pilgrims worldwide. We will attend the morning English language Mass at St. James Church and have an information-orientation tour with our local guide. In the afternoon, we will follow the path up the Apparition Hill, where the young visionaries first encountered Our Lady. We will pray joyful mysteries of the Rosary. Going down the hill, we will do sorrowful mysteries, and we stop at the Blue Cross commemorating the second place where the Blessed Mother appeared to the visionaries. This is a place of great healing and grace. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 12 Medjugorje, Sarajevo
After Breakfast, depart for Sarajevo. Upon our arrival in Sarajevo, we have a walking city tour and a Holy Mass in one of the Catholic Churches. We do a sightseeing tour of City Hall, Saint Anthony Church and Cathedral. We will visit the main square of Sarajevo-Bascarsija and we will walk the main street of Sarajevo to see multiculture of Christian Catholic, Christian Orthodox and Muslim living together in Sarajevo, capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Dinner and overnight in the hotel.
Day 13 Return to the USA
