Daily Itinerary
Day 1 May 6 - Depart San Francisco
Depart on flight LH455 at 2:40 PM.
Day 2 May 7 - Venice, Padova
Arrive in Frankfurt at 10:25 AM, then transfer on flight LH326 at 12:35 PM to Venice, arriving at 1:55 PM. We will meet our tour manager and travel to Padova to visit St. Anthony’s Basilica and celebrate Mass. Afterward, we will proceed to the hotel for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 3 May 8 - Venice
After breakfast, we will depart our hotel by bus to visit the Basilica of St. Anthony and celebrate Mass. We’ll then take a private motorboat to Venice, a 30-minute journey. Upon arrival, break for independent lunch, then begin a guided tour to see the Doge’s Palace (outside view) and the Basilica of St. Mark the Evangelist (inside view). Enjoy free time for an optional gondola ride or shopping before returning to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4 May 9 - Venice, Florence, Assisi
After breakfast, we check out and drive approximately four hours to Florence. Upon arrival, we’ll meet our local guide for a panoramic walking tour of the Renaissance city, including the Baptistry of St. John, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, and the Ponte Vecchio. After free time for independent lunch and shopping, we’ll celebrate Mass. In the late afternoon, we’ll drive two hours to Assisi and check into our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5 May 10 - Assisi
Following breakfast, we will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli in Assisi and celebrate Mass. After a break for independent lunch, we’ll meet our guide to visit the Basilica of St. Clare and view her remains, as well as the miraculous crucifix. We’ll walk through the medieval city center to the Basilica of St. Francis to explore the complex and the crypt containing St. Francis’s tomb. Finally, we’ll visit the Santuario della Spogliazione to see Blessed Carlo Acutis’s tomb. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 May 11 - Assisi, Rome
After breakfast, we depart Assisi for Rome. We’ll start our Jubilee journey along the ancient Appian Way, visiting the Catacombs, the Basilica of St. Sebastian, and the Church of Domine Quo Vadis. We will also visit the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, where we will enter the first Holy Door of our Jubilee and celebrate Mass. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 May 12 - Rome
After breakfast, we will explore Ancient Rome, beginning with an outside view of the Colosseum, then the Roman Forum and the Arches of Constantine and Titus. We’ll visit the Church of St. Francesca Romana to celebrate Mass and view the Mamertine Prison. After a independent lunch break, we’ll visit the Basilica of St. John Lateran to enter the second Holy Door, view the Holy Stairs, and visit the Basilica of St. Mary Major to enter the third Holy Door. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 May 13 - Rome
After breakfast, we proceed to the Vatican Museums to see Raphael’s rooms and the Sistine Chapel. We’ll celebrate the Jubilee Procession and enter the fourth Holy Door at St. Peter’s Basilica. Following an independent lunch break, we’ll take a guided walk through Rome’s historical center, seeing landmarks like Bernini’s Four Rivers Fountain, the Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 May 14 - Papal Audience, San Giovanni Rotondo
This morning, we check out and drive to St. Peter’s Square to join the Papal Audience (subject to the Pope’s schedule) with pilgrims from around the world. After independent lunch, we’ll depart for San Giovanni Rotondo, which is approximately a six-hour drive.
Day 10 May 15 - San Giovanni Rotondo St. Michael’s Cave
Today is dedicated to Saint Padre Pio. We will visit his tomb, cell, confessional, and the Capuchin Monastery of Our Lady of Grace, where we will celebrate Mass. We will also visit the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the Home for the Relief of the Suffering. In the afternoon, we’ll visit Monte Sant’Angelo to see St. Michael’s Cave before returning to San Giovanni Rotondo for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 11 May 16 - Lanciano, Ancona
After breakfast, we check out and drive to Lanciano to visit the Church of St. Francis, where we’ll celebrate Mass at the site of the Eucharistic Miracle. After lunch on your own, we’ll continue to Ancona to board an overnight ferry to Croatia. Dinner will be served on board, with accommodations in double cabins with private bathrooms.
Day 12 May 17 - Split, Medjugorje
We arrive in Split early Saturday morning and tour the city. Then, we will travel by bus to Medjugorje. Checking into our hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13 May 18 - Split, Medjugorje
After breakfast, we will climb the Cross Mountain to pray at the Stations of the Cross and visit the Apparition Hill. At 5:00 pm, join the Rosary and spend a peaceful evening sharing faith with other pilgrims. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14 May 19 - Medjugorje, Sarajevo
This morning, we check out and drive to Sarajevo. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the city, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 15 May 20 - Return to San Francisco
Depart on flight LH1547 at 6:45 AM to Frankfurt, arriving at 8:40 AM. Then, transfer on flight LH454 at 10:25 AM to San Francisco, arriving at 12:40 PM.
